Check In With Yourself

a choice 2

Becoming aware of what is happening within, and around us is crucial for making good decisions. By checking in with ourselves on a regular basis, we become more discerning on what is needed to make our daily experiences more enjoyable.

For example, if we find ourselves feeling irritated or fatigued, having awareness will make us more likely to pause and consider why we are feeling that way, and make the appropriate adjustments. Maybe we’ll observe that we have over committed ourselves with extra volunteer projects or are not getting enough rest on a nightly basis.

Or, if we are feeling lonely, disconnected, or attracting a lot of negativity, we will observe our need for positive connection, and make plans to get together with loved ones or attend a class or social function that inspires us.

We know that setting aside quiet time each day, and writing in a journal are great ways to check in with ourselves, as well as, reading supportive materials like the one listed below.

This particular writing came across my path recently via email, and is the perfect fit for the discussion at hand. It contains some wonderful gems for inspiring productive thoughts, feelings and actions.

So, enjoy this informative list of helpful tips for guiding your choices, and improving your connection with self.

See the Possibility in Creating Your Dreams

a mindfulness5

This past weekend, A Mindfulness Life Center officially opened to the public in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was wonderful to meet so many people who are eager to live a more mindful life, and see them enjoy this nurturing new space.

It has been amazing to watch, and be a part of something that began with a conversation over dinner one night. The current founders were sharing their creative idea for the center with my husband and I, who enthusiastically agreed how wonderful such a place would be.

Now, within 5 months of that conversation, it is up and running for the public to experience.

I love seeing how a divinely inspired thought can show up within us, and then become a physical reality by following the actions we are led to take. When creative ideas are discounted or ruled to be unattainable, we all miss out on the benefits, and opportunities those dreams could have provided if they had been brought to fruition.

It is great to be a part of the supportive network that cheered on this creative endeavor, and contribute our particular part to the whole, now that it is open. There is an exciting collection of practitioners who share their own particular talents, and have a sincere desire to assist in the wellness of others.

We hope to see you soon!
